PEACE

this was written by request and i thought i'll have to paint a picture of "innocence" to represent the title....here goes!


I am as light as a feather brushing the heads of soft buttercups,

Blowing a whisper to calm frightened mammals,

Allowing the melody of my voice to transform indoctrinated nations

I am a vessel of change

Unravelling a unique sense of beauty, nurtured by my friends and family,

but as images in my society cloud my sanity

I stand firm in the storm of fatalities, false affection, deceit and rejection

For in the narrow view of self

We strangle the strength that is, the vision that is and the love that is...within

May the way of kind instruction ignite your innermost and quench the flame of frustration

show discretion where due

Give anonymously

Guide the hand only two months new, fight fire with water, hug don’t shrug the shoulder that supported you

Orchestrate the anxieties of the heart into a new voice

Allow the birth of a new melody to release the choice of harmony
